Fortune Companies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrician to help expand our growing company in Kokomo, Indiana. Fortune Companies, Inc. specializes in rehabilitation of existing historic buildings from design to construction with over 40 years of experience and hundreds of projects completed. As an Electrician for Fortune Companies, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, and ensuring that all work is accurate and meets Fortune Companies standards as well as standards enforced by electrical codes, including local and state codes authorities.
Role and Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial electrical systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Install lighting, wiring, outlets, circuit breakers, and other electrical equipment and components
- Provide recommendations for electrical systems in both residential and commercial settings
- Work closely with other tradesmen to complete projects in a timely manner
- Stay up-to-date on latest electrical codes, including local and state codes
- Work closely with local electrical utility companies
Experience Requirements
- 3-5 Years of experience as an electrician
- Experience with various electrical systems and wiring methods
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Attention to detail in all aspects of the job
- Strong communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Experience on both residential and commercial job sites
This is a full-time position. Travel may be required.
